Ordering Products through our Web Site

The Hat Shop uses cookies to keep track of products in your shopping cart. This information is stored on your machine. Cookies are not used for any purpose other than this, and all cookies expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Further information is collected from you when you go through the checkout process and it is outlined in the next section.


What specific personal information is stored and how is this information used?

During the checkout process, the following information is collected from you for the purpose of order fulfilment:

You can request a copy of the information stored by The Hat Shop at any time by sending an email request to info@thehatshop.com.au, which includes details of your name, email address and one prior order number. Upon request we will delete your personal details from our records.

Your delivery address or credit card details are not stored on our webserver. Credit card data is collected using Geo Trust SSL 256-bit encryption then stored securely offline until your credit card is charged, then is deleted.

The Hat Shop also reserves the right to use order details to generate combined demographics for the purpose of improving our website design and user experience. Individual details are never used for any purpose other than order fulfilment and correspondence.

Do we sell or give any of your personal details to other people / companies?

No.. Your personal details are stored for the sole purpose of fulfilling your order and to improve your online experience, making it as easy and as fun as possible.
